i went to start my car today, and the starter was struggling very much, and then all of a sudden it just stopped. now when i turn the key it does nothing, just makes a very soft high pitched noise (sounds like an electrical noise if that makes sense) and the car is throwing code 8 and code 16. any help?

 

Have you tried jumping it? Sounds like a dead battery to me?

 

dead battery? hmm.. everything on the car seems to be good (radio, lights), i will try that tommorow morning though, its a DX by the way.

 

Well the trouble codes are the 8 is TDC position (so your timing could be off) and 16 is fuel injector so you could have a bad injector. BUT either of those codes should not affect the starter thats why I suggested jumping it or charging the battery even.
