Default possible valve train problem

This is the issue i installed ctr pistons into my 99 si ,also have ctr cams ,toda cam
gears, type r intake manifold, spoon head gasket . I already clayed the engine the clearance is over 35thou also the timing set at 10degrees for break in the valve adjustment was 6thou intake and 7thou exhaust just wondering if the valve adjustment needs to be tighter. The engine ticks very loud like the pistons are hitting the head loud ?
