Default Flywheel re-surfacing

If the flywheel friction surface is perfectly smooth (no grooves or distortion), then you do not need to re-surface before install, correct?

This is regarding a used flywheel.

If you don`t know where it came from, I`d get it re-surfaced to be on the safe side.

It costs almost nothing to resurface, so to be safe I'd get it done.

it's better to be safe then sorry...you don't want to uninstall and istall the tranny again.
