Default SO TORN......

ok you guys i need your help... i have a goal hp of 300 and am looking for the least expensive way to get there... i have a 97 civic dx sedan... the motor itself has 210k miles on it... but everything is in excellent condition considering the mileage of the car... but of course i was considering a b-series swap... but after looking into it i saw that a lot of people were doing the mini me head swap conversions... long story short i have a person now willing to sell me a y8 head to bolt onto my y7 block.... then what i was planning on doing was building up that motor, and then going turbo.... another thing i was considering was buying a low mileage jdm d16 (550 from osaka) and bolting the y8 from this kid on that... idk im so confused theres so much i want to do and i just want to take the shortest reliable route to 250-300hp... on another note... are tubular turbo manifolds a lot better then the log type? and what's a good place to get turbo piping made in the new york area??? sorry about all the questions guys but untill now i havent really gotten serious about adding more power and i just have a lot of questions.. thanx

300 hp? No cheap way to get that. And if there is, you'll spend more time fixing then driving.

im sorry lol when i said cheap i didnt really mean cheap... whatever i do i will probably rebuild the bottom end.... also i'm considering a skunk 2 intake manifold valvetrain, stage 2 cam... msd sci ignition, apexi vtec afc... aem fuel rail and fpr, new fuel lines, stronger fuel pump.... but basically what i am asking is if it would be more expensive to get to my goal doing a b-series swap or to build the mini-me

do the b series. I know you said 250-300 hp, but that is a large variance. I know many people who spend large amounts of money to fill that 50 hp gap. I would do a bseries built swap and turbo. Probably your most cost efficient way to obtain that kind of power
