Default Short Shifter Rubbing?

I have a short shifter on my 98civic....and just had my Greddy P.E removed in favor of a stock system. I've noticed that when I push the shifter to the right (when switching to 5th or reverse), it requires a bit more force. Do I have to worry about this?

I would say don't worry about it. my civic is almost completely stock (none of the mods would affect shifting in any way) and the shifter has always been stiffer when moved to the right for 5th or R.

My short shifter rubs on my heat shield for my exhaust to.. I never messed with it, I just got used to the stiffness I havent had any kinda problems with it either and its been like that for about 2 years.. I wouldnt really worry about it.
