just bought a 00 gsr motor for my 94 integra rs. anyways i installed it all myself .. it was my second swap by myself.. anyways. now for the the bad parts.. motor was clean as hell when i bought it ran perfect right well know ive had it for a month and i noticed air coming out of the hole from valve cover! i read some past post and i guess its my pcv valve maybe it isnt hooked up or its blow by and a piston ring is cracked.. first off i will check the simple stuff.. but where is the pcv valve plug??is it by the black cannister box? i put a bolt in the bottom of the black cannister box because it looked like it was missing on. should i have done that? if anyone has a pic of the pcv plug or know why airs blowing out of valve cover please let me know asap.thanks,Randy
how much does it cost for compression check and leakdown test?just ballpark range so i dont get ripped thanks!

 

also my idle is up and down and kinda acting like its dieing on me. please help me out if possible. oh yea its a obd 2 gsr motor into an obd1 car and i just went with a obd1 p72 and wired vtec solenoid,vtec pressure, knock sensor.. still runs hella quick just acting up.thanks,again..Randy

 

vacuum leak is my guess...

 

Definately a leak in the vaccum somewhere. Look at some vacuum diagrams and start pinching hoses to find out which one is the problem.

 

alright more news i took to my friedns shop and he tested the valves and ALL the intake valves need to be replaced they were all in the red or like 100 psi or something .. sorry im just learning about all this stuff looks like im learning the hard way he told me to get new skunk 2 valve for 300 on ebay and he would install em cash for $600. anyways i was wonder how hard is it to take off the head.. i think i can do it i just not quite sure how i will look into it on here by search and see what i can find and if any of ya wanna give me pointers or key things/or steps to take to remember when head removal.. i think im gonna to take it to a machine shop and tell them i need all intake valves replaced and see how that goes... is there something else i should replace as well... should i get a thinner head gasket, what size if so? hmm anything else .. please let me know asap if possible.. thanks,Randy
p.s. anyone ever have this problem at all it seems kinda weird and will anything be messed up if all the intake valves are bad??
