SRI or CAI for a 2001 GSR???
blah i dont know. i got a cai, and i dont drive that much in high rpms. i dont even know if the air inducted is significantly "cooler" with the cai. since rainy seasons are coming, i know i'll be paranoid.
did anyone lose low-end torque with their cai?

no I meant that when I hit the on ramps.I could feel the cai. defintely a improvement. where as city driving I had to rev it alittle higher to get it going. hence the whole " i lost power in the low end" theory
if your worried about losing low end, go with the Comptech icebox, it doesnt have an exposed filter, so it wont get really hot. Alot of people swiched from the AEM CAI to the Icebox, and have felt a gain in low and mid. the AEM makes good top end tho.
me. id go with an AEM CAI

SRI provides better throttle response due to the fact that when the throttle body opens, fresh ambient air does not have as far of a distace to travel. CAI, though, Since the intake temperature is lower, yields more "high end." Do the comptech! CAI, but you can take off the cap when you wanna so its SRI, and It DOESNT HYDROLOCK

I highly recommend the AEM V2. It's a CAI but it sounds very nice. From what I have read it also yields the best numbers. Maybe that is why it is so expensive! Let your engine breathe. Go V2 you won't regret it. Let me know if you want some pics.
