Default what head gasket to use to lower the compression for boost??

I did a search but nothing came up.
I have a friend who is ready to turbo his type-r, so which head gasket should I use to lower the compression so he can boost about 12psi??
Toda makes thicker head gasket but it is for use with their pistons.

Any help.
thanks
Rahim

any headgasket thicker than stock will lower your compression -- slightly.
this really isn't a good way to go about building a motor for boost though.

How so? Toda or Cometic both make thicker-than-stock headgaskets that will lower your CR. I have a feeling that the reason Toda recommends their pistons with the headgasket is to create a desirable CR for N/A applications.

turbo + itr / 1 minor mistake = blown piston rings

unless you win lottery every time you play.. don't boost itr without swapping pistons..

you'll have to swap them at some point or another.. yeah.. you coudl run less hp.. but you won't.. and end up with blown pistons or rings..

and its not about psi.. its about whp..

if you decide to go headgasket.. inline pro uses oem headgasket with their own middle layer.. i just think lowering compression with headgasket is retarded..

I'm pretty sure HKS has a super thick gasket (around 2.5mm) for boost applications
