Default 4th Gen Help -Gauge and SRS Light

Alright so I have a 94 Lude, and so it's the one with the el glow style Speedometer and Tach. Well a couple weeks ago the lights for both of those went out. The needles still light up red and the other gas/temp/clock cluster works fine.

Today I checked the fuses of what I think it could be connected too, (interior light, small lights etc). All of those were fine, took out the cluster changed the bulbs and the cluster still wouldn't light up.

Anyone else have any idea on what else it could be?

Also as a 2nd problem to taking out the gauge cluster my SRS light turned on. All the wires are plugged into it, and I disconnected the battery to reset the ECU. But the SRS light is still on. Any help with this problem also?

Any idea about the SRS light? I'll check all the fuses under the dash today and hopefully I'll find the one =\

Well I checked all of the fuses today and they all look good. If anyone knows which one is directly linked to the gauages it would help. I can just replace that with a new one, but I might try replacing all of the fuses under there =|

If that still doesn't fix the problem, I might just put LEDs in there. Which wires should I splice into?

Get back to me on the SRS light on the weekend. I had the same problem when I installed my Climate control with CAZ. There is a certain percedure to reset that indicator. I am pretty sure your SRS system is fine. If you know someone with a helms right now, it says how to clear it up in there.

Ugh

Alright so driving to school today my needles started to act up also. They would turn off for like 5mins and then turn back on. Is my gauge dying on me?! =\

Alright so I got this off of another board. Can anyone confirm that the 94-96 Ludes use flourescent lights?

"I don't know about that. I have the flourescent dash too, all the way across. On occasion when I have started the car, during flicker while the ignition turns, the speedo and tach have gone completely out. I turn the car off and back on and they come back. As far as I know they are not lit by conventional bulbs, it is a luminescent flourescent lighting system, which is sealed and has to be replaced as a whole piece, ie...a whole new gauge pod. It's called the meter assembly for the tach and speedo and sub-meter for the fuel and temp. "

I sure hope that someone has a fix because buying a new gauge cluster isn't gonna be nice T.T
