04 accord, bad alignment from Day 1.
has anyone had this problem? the car pulls to the right, regardless of what type of road im driving. Dealer will look at it, but ive read stories of deaelers denying that anything is wrong..
if they cant get it right take it to a frame / alignment shop and let them look at it most places like that will give you a free estament .. then bring that back to honda and show them

Why would a dealer deny anything is wrong with your car?
Check your tire pressure before you take your car in for service. If you have 50 psi in the left front tire and 20 psi in your right front tire, the dealer will probably "deny" anything is wrong with your car.
If the tire pressure is correct, the first thing they should do is rotate the front wheels. If it pulls to the left after the rotation, you have a bad tire. If there is no change after the rotation, they will need to check the alignment. It is possible something was bent/damaged in transport.

ah..mang..the dealer will try everything to get them extra money, it's nothing new anymore..they are not your buddy or pal like they said when they try to get you a new car..that's my opinion on it
yeah, dealerships try to **** everyone! I told them the same thing, that my car was pulling to the right, and they tried to say that it's torque steer. ? I got it aligned and it still does it alittle, but not as bad.
OK I just bought a 04 accord last week and I'm surprised to see this post since my car does the same exact thing. At first I thought it was the tire pressure but I checked it and it was fine. My only guess is that since most of the 04 models are assembled in Japan they didn't account for the road-crown we have here in the US ??
soodark, what year accord do you have ? I heard the alignment is non-adjustable on the newer cars except maybe for the toe ?
I'm_the_teacher, what socal dealership do you work at. I'm in SoCal and need to find a place to get my car serviced. Email me at sarwat_h0@hotmail.com if you prefer to talk off-line.

Unfortunately some salesmen will say anything to sell a car. Sales and service are two seperate departments, most service departments are honest.

So how did they "****" you? Are you saying all dealerships "****" everyone? I don't much care for your remarks.

I work for honda. I have seen this on numerous 2003's with the V6. Check your tire pressure. One thing to keep in mind is that it may take a few thousand miles to get the suspension broken in. If the problem is still there, bring it to the dealer, and they'll do an alignment on it under warranty.
i got a 03 accord. and i have that problem too. i thought they would fix it on the 04. if you go on v6performance.net and search for the alignment problems you'll see that many people have that problem

Exactly. When I was looking for a GST, or GSX prior to buying the Accord, I stopped by a local Mitsubishi dealership. Walked over to a GST. Asked if I could sit inside, but was soon directed over to a Spyder GS. The salesman talked about the Eclipse being such a great car, and that they last a long time, etc. Hell, even I know that if you want reliablilty, don't buy a DSM.

same problem in my 03 ex. I'm pretty sure it could be fixed at the dealer. I'm taking it in after maybe about 2-3000 miles. For someone that's gonna buy a new car, test the sucka THOROUGHLY before you sign.
Mine is a 4cyl not a V6...I really hope its something a quick alignment (more caster on the right) will fix it and hopefully its not due to some damaged suspension component. I'm always worried about getting stuck with a car that's been previously in a transportation related accident.
I did test drive it but not on the freeway which is where the pulling is more pronounced due to higher speeds.
Can anyone recommend a trustworty dealership/service manager in SoCal ? preferrably orange county or riverside area ?
Thx

FYI, I switched the front tires (i.e. left to right and right to left) and now the car is pulling to the left. So its the tires for sure. I will be switching the front tires to the back and hopefully that fixes it
I took delivery of an 04 Accord EX 4-cyl last week that drifts & darts all over the road!! Not to mention the steering wheel is also off center. Talked to dealer & he denied everything! All they did was check the tire pressures & claimed it was normal. I did a lot of searching and found the following info today. I will make another appointement next week. I advise everyone do the same.
There is a Technical Service Bulletin (TSB) that has been issued by Honda on this matter. Dealers SHOULD be aware of this. If not, search for it on the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration website & show them!

They should be fixing the cause of the mis-alignment (shift front sub-frame), NOT just the symtoms (ordinary alignment). If anyone else is experiencing this, feel free to chime in with year of your car & how long you've noticed it. I should have an update next week.

Aw, man...i've had the same problem with my accord for about 2 1/2 years. I got my 2001 Accord LX 4dr. in February of 2001 and ever since I have noticed that steering is off center and the ride is very inconsistent (drifts and pulls to either side--it's all over the place). I have taken the car in many times to the dealership and they have done alignments and rotated the tires claiming the problem should be resolved. But it's not! I have since had the car lowered and i'm riding on slightly lower profile Dunlop SP Sport A2 tires. I had another alignment about a week after the spring/shock install. None of this has improved the overall driving feel. I really dont know what else could be causing this, but now I know i'm not alone in this. Looking forward to hearing more about what has to be done to fix this.
