EGT probe...what cylinder and how far from head??
i have a ss headertech i hate to massacre it but i have to to install the egt probe.....why do people run it on cyl 2?.......isnt cyl 1 the one that runs leanest...(farthest from t/b).........and also how far fron head to get acurate readings????????????.......thats for help......
i've never heard of NA people using an EGT, does it works? i would say it does, but is not as efficient as in FI, right?
EGT is used for A/F tuning. It will work as well on an N/A as it will on FI. Run it pretty close like 2-3" to the exhaust port for accurate reading.
for A/F tunning? well, yes, but it's used a lot more for timming changes, since the timming affects the temps a lot more than the mixture (also, the A/F wideband is better to tune the mixture), right?
Yes an EGT is a lot more accurate then using a narrow band light show. Not used often with N/A apps. Most people wouldn't havea clue at what they are looking at anyways.
