"performance" "resistor" "ecu piggy back" "IAT mods" chips... opinions please.
Alright I was skeptic at first but now I'm folding. I need opinions on this thing and I have 20 bucks to burn. I know the product isn't as good as they claim but the effects I believe are valid. I'm just curious if anyone's had any experience with these things or has more insight to them? especially for preludes.
btw: are these chips related to a VFAC or SFAC or whatever and are they correlated with fuel management ECU's like Hondata or AEM etc? Are they cheap basic versions of what those bigger things do? and how about force induction? I know they say no turbo, how about superchargers? I would think that applies... anywho, just looking around for opinions thanks.

from what i can tell all this thing does is tell your ECU that the ambient temperature is 70 degrees F. while this may be ok now, if you live in a hot place you could risk some serious damage aka detonation. it's not worth the 20 bucks. i think those 20 bucks are better spent on a ebay strut tower bar for 8.99.
interesting that makes good sense thanks. how hot is too hot and how far would 91 octane take me? I'm just curious too, would strapping an ice cube next to the sensor be any different?
