ok great, thanks guys!!
checked the wires and they were ok, checked the cap and rotor and all was good, checked the plugs and they were kinda beat up so I replaced them and that did the trick. Re-set the ecu and no more code 73, thanks again for your help guys!

Cause now that he got his new job in Anaheim, he is being lazy, plus his J1 tranny differential took a **** but he didn't want to buy my overpriced tranny......
