Default code 71,71

ok after i fix all my wiring and get the car rnning. i get code 71,72. i can smell gas in my exhuast but the car is running fine.but there is something wierd going on. my secondary o2 sensor is not even in the exhuast(open headers) and im not getting a code for it anymore. could that be causing my car to run too much fuel and run like this?

Cylinders 1 and 2 are misfiring. Check your plug wires, plugs, fuel injector connectors, cap, rotor, etc.

Are the spark plugs for 1 and 2 gas soaked or dry?

Have you performed a compression check? Valve adjustment?

The secondary O2 sensor does not control the fuel. It simply checks the functionality of the catalyst.
