Default Flow of Heads? A2 vs C5

I have noticed that some people get a c5 block, then but a b16a head on it... Is there that big of a difference in the flow of the ehad? I figured the c5 would flow better then an A2, just cause its an ITR? Do these people use the ITR IM? or just the A2? I dunno just thought it was kinda odd....

The B16 head is the same as the TypeR. The R head has a very mild p/p. I know a lot of people use B16 heads, cause they're cheaper, and easier to find than ITR heads. Some use the ITR manifold, especially if they're looking to build a poormans ITR motor.

A bare a2 head is the same as a bare c5 head, minus the mild p7p. The big difference is in the internals.

True.

The head of the C5 has also been hand worked in such a way that attempts to alter it usually end up with a loss of power.

The B16 head is easier to work with.

cool, thanks for clearing it up..I heard some kids trying to tell me that it flowed a lot better....So actually there isnt that much difference beside..
1) ITR has slight P&P
2) A2 is easier to work on

the c5 head does flow better than any b16 head.. due to the p/p done by honda. get the b16 head and get it worked on.. you will flow better than the c5 head and it will cost you less.

The ITR head also has a different cut on the angle of the valve/seat on the intake side I believe. Leads to a little more aggressive flow.
