93 Camry wont start sometimes?? Fuel relay???
hey guys.
my gf has a 93 4banger camry and sometimes it wont start, it just cranks and cranks. i had the same problems on my hondas before, and it was the main fuel relay. replaced it and it starts everytime.
do camry have the same relay problems?? if so where is this relay located?

oh yea - the reverse light comes on every times you hit the brakes! its kinda funny. any ideas.

ok this is a very common problem on camry's the problem is the throttle body is dirty you must take it off and clean it out make sure to clean all the sensors throughly because that is usually where the problem is put it back together and it will be fine .....
another symptom of this is when you first start the car in the morning you will have to keep your foot on the throttle for it to stay running ....
we usually clean 1-3 of these a week so it is a very common problem

Check the wiring in the trunk. It's on the left side upper trunk area. the part of the wire harness that pivots when you open and close the trunk. Very common for the harness wires to split over time from fatigue. Good luck.
i havent had a chance to mess with it. it started yesterday with some hesistation, but it went. im going out of town today, so i should be able to get to it on sunday or monday. ill keep you all posted

well there were some wires back there all chewed up, but that wasnt it.
I pulled off the TB and took off the tps sensor - al looks well. tried to pull off the egr sensor, but stripped the screws holding it on. so i just sprayed some cleaner **** down there and bolted everythign back up. The gasket between the mani and the tb shredded when i pulled the TB off and no one has it in stock, so i just bolted it up metal to metal.
car starts now, but the idle jumps up and down from like 1500-2000 rpm. wierd. sometimes the starting is labored and you have to crank for a sec and give it gas.
any more suggestions

i just took it for a ride and well, its fine unless you give it gas. you give it any sort of throttle and the thing just DIES, like almost stalling. let off the throttle and it will pick back up.
im so CONFUSED?!?!?!!?

i replaced the TB gasket and it took care of my idleing problems. but now when ever i go half-full throttle, the thing hiccups, makes some clicking noise from the engine bay, looses all power and will stall when moving??
i sprayed some intake cleaner in it. oh and the i didnt strip the bolts on the egr, it was the IAC. could a faulty iac be causing this?
im lost guys, any help?
