Default Your opinion please

I found a gsr engine for sale with 120km and no ecu. This is including the tranny. Engine has 185 across all four cylinders, Im not sure what the compression is suppose to be on a gsr.
My offer was 2500........not sure if it will be accepted. What do u guys think of the offer? and do you think 120km and 185 compression is decent or over the hill?
I know you get what u pay for so.........

Dont forget im in canada.......so this is 2500 canadian, and 120 KM not miles

I'm not sure of the conversion rate, but I'm guessing close to $1600-1700. That would seem like a fair price.

it does come with the harness.....but no ecu. Thing im concerned about is the compression of the engine and if its been beatin on.........i really cant afford to waste 3gs and have it blow

If all your compression test results were the same I wouldnt worry about it. Some compression testers read high and some read low. I would just be worried if one or more is significantly lower than the rest.

I would ask him to preform a leak down test on it this would tell you how much wear thew valves have on them. If the leak down is ok i would say u are getting a steal
