Default Engine Compression Readings

Could someone please offer some advice. I am looking to purchase a 1995 used accord with 2.2L 4-cyl engine (248,000 miles). I had the car professionally inspected and car came back with very clean slate except possibly cyclinder compression tests. Compression test results were as follows: Cyl 1 = 122; Cyl 2 = 160; Cyl 3 = 165; Cyl 4 = 175. The dealer that did the inspection was reluctant to interpret the data for fear of liability!

Any help would be appreciated...

I'd pass on that one. That's a pretty big gap in the first 3. The difference between 3-4 is acceptable, but 1-2 and 2-3 are way outta spec, which is probably a headgasket. I'm not sure if 5th gens are the same specs as mine, but my manual says max variation between adjacent cylinders is 28psi. Either way all cylinders "should" be about the same. When I did my compression test a couple months ago I got from 199-203 from lowest to highest across all 4, just for an example.

But yea, I wouldn't take a chance on that one unless they're selling it for REALLY cheap. Smells like trouble is already brewing....
