leaking oil! please help

Default leaking oil! please help

jus got the swap in and now its leaking a lot of oil...put the car on the lift and it seems to be coming from where the tranny and block meet. anybody know if any seals around there should be replaced? or any other seals i should check out?

rear main seal is bad.....happens alot with swaps....either faulty seal or faulty install.....it's a bitch to change, have to pull the motor away from the tranny again...i've had to do it before and I was not happy

If it's not the rear main seal, it could be the oil pan gasket. Did you change it? If so, you could have doubled up the washers that are on the studs on that side of the block....seen it happen, usually a steady drip.

sounds like a rear main seal to me and if you dont fix it soon you will kill the clutch too if its not already dead the seal isnt much but if you cant do it your self your looking at a couple hundred in labor probably

If it's the rear main seal, it'll probably cost close to $200 for labor and the part itself is like $20. Make sure you find out if it's just the oil pan leaking. If someone had a turbo on the car and ghettoed it back together it's probably the oil pan.
