Default :: where is the best place to get an ignition signal? ::

i am wiring up an air/fuel gauge that i want to be on whenever the ignition is on, where is the best place to tap to get an ignition source? lemme know, thanks in advance.

it depends on how big of a guage wire you want, if you want like a 10 guage, hit up the ignition harness underneath your knee bezzle, if you want something smaller, you could tap into a radio fuse or something like that

Check out some pigtail fuse taps from Tessco. . They plug inplace with the fuse and have a wire soldered into one of the legs. Though you may not need a bulk package of them...

Let me know if you need any perticular sizes and I can send you some.

Just a tip on those fuse piggy back:

Make sure you put the "jumper wire" side on the protected side of the fuse.

an easy test is pull the fuse and the non protected side will still have power. ( if you connect to this side, the wire you are attaching will not be protected by the fuse.)

Easiest place to grab IGN: Black / yellow at the Ignition switch, on any honda.

easiest place to grab ignition, on the back of the cig. lighter, on any car with one!
