My friend who's originally from panama city, moved to NYC then back to Florida (got married). Now he and his wife are moving back to NYC after a year, building a new house, and changing two cars.
NYC does have its draws.

Well it's the way of life here in the Tri-State area. But think of it this way, now you know you can live anywhere and be ok....and I've actually tried to live in South Florida in Boca Raton....and I practically dreaded every moment I was there.....I hate having to drive everywhere and I personally dislike the heat....so I don't mind cold weather at the moment.....and speaking of women.....there's nuttin' like NYC women....
I'm sorry but NYC women are way better shaped...and better looking to me!

Learned in my marketing class that the cost of building a house went up 2-3 grand because the government is buying up all plywood to rebuild Iraq.

You mean that fictional documentary with the selectively edited clips and staged scenes?

There's a drag strip in Bithlo which is like half an hour from Orlando proper. You're also not far from Daytona (50 miles) and Sebring is about 100 miles off. In other words, you're in pretty damn good spot for what you want to do.
Welcome to Florida. If can just get used to little old blue headed grannies doing 30 in the 55's then you'll be just fine.
