North/Central FL Dyno
I was going to take my car to Speedcraft here in Jax today. (I have heard good and bad things about them but I called and talked to the guy and I liked what he was saying and decided to take it there.) I called this morning and they said they "couldn't accomodate me today." So I said how about next weekend? Same answer. I'm guessing they are going under... That's the end of that retarded story...
I'm thinking there must be a place in Daytona...it would be a lot shorter drive than Tampa or Tallahassee. Does anybody know?
If not, could somebody recommend another shop in the northern florida area. I am aware of a shop in Tallahassee (NRG or something) and Secret Services in Tampa. Which one is better?
TIA for the help...

I have dynoe'd at both of these respective shops.
First off, you probably aren't serious enough to dyno @ Irish Mike's because they only sell dyno usage by the 5 hour time frame or increment. This means you must buy 5 hours worth of dyno time for one particular day. I think it was like $475 for that 5 hours. Their dyno isn't located in the best place inside the building with no circulation in there whatsoever. My numbers sucked big time.
Garage Advance is a hole in the wall place and is hard to find. I know both Al and Angel as well as the other guy (can't remember his name). 3 guys own the shop together. I had Angel tune my car and their dyno is a DynoJet 248C (i believe that is what the model is) which is outside the building under a small canopy. They have the ability to do A/F ratios as well as printouts of your runs. They charged me $75 per hour which is a very good deal with a professional helping you tune or tuning for you. Any more questions about either place feel free to PM me.
I say go with Garage Advance if you choose between those two.

HMM, Titan Motorsports, they have a reputation i think. 50-225 for dyno pulls all the way up to tuning by mike (P I M P)

This local boosted Si was tuned at Garage Advanced. They tuned the car with the FMU, and installed an VAFC to futher tune with. I have never heard of using a FMU and VAFC.....go to Secret Services.

My vote is for either secret services or NRG whichever is cheaper and can fit you in the schedule when you have time. Call and tlak to both, ask prices, what they actually do, what kind of printouts they do, etc.

Re: North/Central FL Dyno (axhandler)
Well after talking to both NRG and SS I've decided to go with SS. John sounds like a good guy and definately has the experience. I have an appointment this Saturday. I'll post the sheet when I get back in town.

Secret Services without a doubt. Just give John a call and schedule an appointment.
