Default New antenna-feelings about it compared to stock

The plastic saw looking piece broke so the antenna would no longer go up and down.

I replaced it with the s2000 antenna.

everything works fine no real difference one way or the other in reception (that I can tell).

The weirdest thing is every time I turn the car on or off is not hearing the antenna motor pushing it up or pulling it down. Other than constantly thinking that the motor is broken (I'm an idiot there is no motor now). it is fine.

I also ordered that antenna kit for my car, but i haven't found the time to install it yet. Is it complicated at all because it didn't come w/ any instructions. I haven't tore into it yet, i'm just wondering if i have quite a bit of work ahead of me or not because i think i'm going to install it this afternoon.

That was like the most annoying noise before I took that freaking motor out.

antenna looks good!

if you drive to non-urban areas, you might notice a loss of reception. otherwise...

kepani-who don't know what to do with his stock antenna...

I lived in an urban area and reception wasn't too hot at times. All majr stations were fine but am and less popular stations were a little tougher to handle. I returned to OEM because I wanted to hear sports radio on am
