it might be your ecu program or vafc... i have a jdm itr swap and used the spoon map at first, it would never start up on the first try... i thought it was something bad with the starter, we checked everything else. we decided to burn the mugen program into the hondata after about 2 weeks.

it always starts up on the first crank now and idles very nice, it had nothing to do with the motor it was the ecu settings.

Oh thats a different story. Just had the same problem, go down to where to starter wires are and check first to make sure that the one with the 14mm nut is tight, then make sure that a small slide on connector is on the end of the starter. The small one was off on our car and it acted the same way.
