Default fog light switch wiring

anybody have a wiring diagram for the OEM foglight switch? Theres a red wire w/ white stripe, red wire w/ yellow stripe, and a black wire.
I originally though that red w/ white was power from battery, red w/ yellow was to foglights, and black was ground... although the switch doesnt work this way.

I hooked up an ohmmeter to it, and I show a circut going from red w/ white stripe and black.
can anybody help me out?

UPDATE BELOW. I GOT SOME OF IT FIGURED OUT

someone must have wired in a switch before, or know what wire goes where... If only I had a helms, i bet it probably shows it in there

maybe check out a 90-91 integra manual since they are pretty much related to civics and crx's but with the power options like fog lights.

I looked in the service manual for the 90/91. There isn't anything in there for fog lights.

My guess is that there is supposed to be a relay by the fogs that is tirggered by a negative pulse. I would think that the black goes to ground and the red/white goes to the relay. The red/yellow then goes to power for the light on the switch.

TEST: If you hook ground to black and the red/white and then power to the red/yellow does the light on the switch light up?

hmm.. thats a theory i didnt think of....
although if that were true, wouldnt there be some sort of resistance going from red/yellow to red/white??

also, how exactly would I run a relay so that it's triggered by a negative signal, but still puts out a positive signal to the fog lights??

and about the test, im on my way to try it out right now

ok, back from test...
when i put the black to ground and...
1. red/white to power, blows a fuse
2. red/yellow to power, nothing happens, no lights turn on, no fuses blow...

I wonder if maybe the black wire isnt ground. maybe the pins were switch or something... cause when its blowing the fuse, im guessing that its going from power, right to ground. so maybe the black wire is suposed to go to the foglights, red/yellow is power, and red/white is ground...

heres a diagram of what I have now

1- red/yellow
2 - red/white
3 - empty
4 - black
This is when looking at the back of the switch, with the harness plugged in.
and I'm sure that 3 has to be empty, cause when I take the harness off, theres no pin for the harness to plug into. So its just the other 3 that could have been moved.

UPDATE
well, i played around with some stuff. I picked up 10 fuses today, so I was planning on trying every wire combination that was possible. Then I got smart, I decided that I wouldnt connect the ground, since I dont need it to find out if the switch is going to work. So i kept switching the wires around till I could turn the foglights on and off with the switch. There are only 2 possible combinations to use to get the lights to turn on and off with the switch.
black(4) goes to the foglight relay, and red/white(2) goes to the power supply
or
red/white(2) goes to the foglight relay and black(4) goes to power.
Although I still cant figure out what red/yellow(1) is for, I at first thought it was the ground for the light inside the switch, but when I connect it to ground, the light still doesnt light up.

haha, sounds like you're having a fun time like me, lol. Sounds like your fog light switch is acting like driving lights. although if they were driving lights, there wouldnt be a switch. Atleast my switch works, just no light, lol. could even be a burnt bulb for all i know, i have no idea how to switch a bulb in it though.

and it does that no matter how you hook it up???
sounds like we have the opposite problems, haha, your switch is gone, and my light is gone.

I even took mine apart to see how the thing works and looks like some modifying needs to be done.

yeah, i had mine apart too, lol. its kinda weird looking... some little square thing that slides around is the switch
anyways, i finally got mine working
black was power, red/white went to foglights, and red/yellow went to ground
1- red/yellow -> ground
2 - red/white -> foglight relay
3 - empty
4 - black -> 12V power
so I have a working light up switch now
too bad you cant say the same
