Default clutch problem

HI all

My clutch is not disengaging intermittently (clutch is not slipping). I have setup an appointment at the dealer for next week, but it happened Saturday and dealer was open, so stop by to show them. Dealer’s answer to the problem is a broken spring or spring retainer on the clutch disc causing the spring to grab the flywheel and pressure plate. So I will need to replace the clutch pack. Also this is a norm problem with high RPM integra. Is this a norm problem? I have never seen this type of disk failure before. I was also quoted $1100 for the job. Is this a price OK?

Thanks
