Ghetto security...brainstorming
After the recent rash of car thefts in my city I`ve found myself wondering of certain manners to get back at theifs.
Sound system protection:
Righ up a switch under the amp, so that if the amp is removed, ear piercing sirens go off, pointed right at the expected position of the theif.
Acvtually effective fuel cutoff:
Most ignition cutoffs set up a relay under the dash neer the fusebox, its
, you can bypass it in seconds. I`m thinking of setting up a fuel kill switch somewhere in the passenger compartment, in a really concealed location, say inside the stuffing of the seat, that cuts the power to the fuel pump directly. This way you get a non-traditional cutoff, and it would be a pain to try and diagnose it.
Painful blinding setero protection:
I`m assuming taht to remove my amplifiers, someone has to bend into my trunk and rip em out, using the same switch idea from above, wire the output from the stereo capacitor DIRECTLY to a whack of old style magnesium flash bulbs (the cubes). Assuming your **** is beeing sloen late at night, it would make for a fun surprise.
Just a few ideas....still working on some manner of knocking a theif out with drugs or something or loud sounds, as to be able to put the ****** in jail.
More brainstorming is appreciated
If we can get anough effective ghetto protection, our **** will be safer.

The way I went about adding some additional protection to my system was through the install of the system itself. I had the installers install my two amps underneath my front seats and the capacitor is behind the passenger seatbelt panel on the right side of my car so you don;t even know I have a cap. I bought that JL stealthbox for the integra that goes in the wheel well. So the carpet hides all three subs. So basically when people look into my car, they see a headunit with no faceplate and since I don't have that backpanel in the back of my car, you can see directly into the trunk and see nothing there...

Nozzles of hot tar and an explosion of feathers aimed out the points of entry when a door is "illegally" opened.
That would make the news.

WOuld love stuff like that....but I'm brainstorming for stuff thats possible (without heavy modification to the car).
I like the hot tar....but keeping it hot is a problem...and it would be messey
Maybe rigigng a spray paint can (rockguard preferrably since its messey)....hmm
Thanks for the idea about concealing the stuff behind body pannels...not a bad idea.
About the stealth box, how much was it? Where do you keep the spare :s

thats kinda weird, i have been thinking about the same ideas recently. i had to check the name to make sure that i did not get drunk and post my ideas. mine was slightly different but along the same lines. it was to rig a bunch of strobe lights to flash in some eratic pattern to lull the would be thief into a siezure. never will happen as long as my tv/computer still works.
