if you spun a bearing wouldent the compression test miss that?
id say drain the oil and check for metal (it will look like silver pearl paint) in the oil and drop the oil pan, probly more evidence of a spun bearing in there

My oil looks clean.
Is there any way to tell by looking if the timing belt is loose?
"Unplug the FI relay and take out your spark plugs and screw in the tester hose and crank the motor until the pressure stops rising." I dont know anything about the mechanics of a car [obviously[ hehe.
And about the AC, earlier this year some tube was brushing against my CAI and burnt a hole in it, leaking out all the frion [at least thats what i thought[, so i got a new tube and new frion. But my AC still dosnt work which i just realized recently, so could that be the prob?
How much does a compression test + leakdown cost?

If you look near your fuse box to the left side you will see this somewhat big relay with a maroon plug going into it. It is kinda hard to get the plug out of the relay so take out that one bolt that is facing you when you're looking at it and it will hang down. Once that is out and your plugs are out then you can start your car as normal and you will hear your motor cranking. Now it's time to test compression.
The guage is $25 at sears\pep boys\autozone the one I got is made by actron... I can walk you through better if you want to do this. I did mine about 2 weeks ago for the first time and it was very easy.

since u said u dont know much about mechanics ... bring your car to a local reputable shop and ask them to do a compression check on your motor.. it shouldnt be too much.
Alright lets say i go tommarow, can someone tell me exactly all the things i should ask them to check
this is taking into consideration my AC dosnt work [its mostly hot air], and that my car sounds like ****.

How does it sound at about 3krpm? Does it smooth out? I recently had to readjust my timing belt as it was making a simliar noise at low rpm/idle.
Worth a shot, and easy enough to check since you're going to have the valve cover off.

Hmm at 3-4k rpm i get that whining annoying *** noise, but i think that has nothing to do with any problems, ive heard a lot of people with GS-R's get that. i dunno how to fix though.
I 'm still betting 99% your timing belt it loose man! Take off your valve cover and timing cover and theres shouldnt be very much play at all ..If it comes down to it .take another picture of you pulling and pushing your belt and we'll tell you

so try and do that.. and ask him to do a compression check also..
