gas tank removal..
as far as safety goes, is there anything i should be aware of before i do this?

Get the car up in the air and take it off..... well, not like that but you get the idea
BTW, make sure the gas tank is as empty as you can make it or it's gonna be heavy as hell to drop and put it back in. There are 2 main straps under there and a few other bolts.
Yes there's a drain plug, it's in the rear on the drivers side. Make sure you drain the whole thing, if not it'll be heavy as ****. It took me like 30 min. to drain mine, pain in the ***. Oh yeah, take ur gas cap off to and put a screwdriver or something in the whole to help air get in the tank to speed it up a tad. Are you doin' a fuel pump?

That is the newest and best way for EF swaps....the 45 degree/5 ft. off the ground method. Will have to try that....j/k
