Default Rode in Rodney's Mythic civic...

Thats right, for all who know about Rodney's phantom hybrid Si, I can atest that it lives. And it is QUICK. With the Toda B's, you can't even tell when the Vtec kicks over, It just GOES .

Rodney, thanks for the ride. Next time I get to drive, right

Is it the yellow/orange Ronald McDonald Civic HB you are talking about?

HAHAHAHAHAHA !!!! No, no, it is a very clean looking H/B. I've seen the Ronald McDonald car in person at Englishtown. It is actually somewhat quick, but ridiculous looking. Maybe it looks good for the show car circuit?!?

hey wanting, thanks for the good review. funny, you mother even liked it dave, thanks for the gruntwork saturday, it is much appreciated. let me know how you fair out with the miata. as far as the civic is concerned, i am going to take it apart again.....really, i am. i have to do a few little things, but now i know that the toda flywheel, clutch, ATS final and lsd install went ok. next off is tuning the toda b's. soon it will be off to the dyno, but i need a corner weighting and an alighnment first. wish me luck, i'm gonna need it.

I picked up the Miata today and it is sooo much fun. Got her sideways already !! It is definitely not as powerful as my ITR but just as much fun. I will talk to you about helping me with the timing belt and cam gasket. Thanks for checking the car out for me. Anytime you need help give me a call. Later.

RRROOODDDNNNEEEYYY,,, Hey Bro thats just unfair man,,, I didn't get to ride in it yet!!!

"Yes the truth is out there and Rodney has an awesome machine!" not to mention a lot of littel do dads floating around his abode.

Chris, I'd love to accompany you to a dyno soon so's I can do the numbers for my new acquisition on paper... For proof! Sorry my schedule has been so Sh*tty with work and all, I'll be free tomorrow evening and Saturday evening after 4PM. So We've got to get together and I've just got to ride in your R too. BTW thanks for your call the other day after the install I really appreciated it, and Anthony is a great guy and all you made him out to be. This coming Monday I'll be dropping my car off at Will's for the bumper and I'm sure I'll be pleased with the results.

Thanks again for all your help Rodney, and for all you NON-believers, YES it is real, "Rodneys R hybrid" that is!!!

A.

PS I don't remember meeting this WantingtypeR guy yet have I???

sinitron, i was going to weigh my car, but i can't fit it into the house to get an accurate reading in the living room..... seriously, we have to meet up again, this time in a brightly lit area. 1grey, gimme a call today on the cell, i haven't put her back in the air yet, so maybe we could meet right after work for a quick ride.

yep, i have them in there. those are the J's racing camber adjusters. very good quality. they are steel, not aluminum. i have seen some of the aluminum ones corrode, fall apart and strip, so i went with the steel. much cheaper than King Motorsports camber adjusters by a mile, and the same style adjuster. i had ingalls in ther prior, with the urethane bushings and they squeaked like all hell when the lube wore out of them, every few months. so i went with harder durometer rubber ones.

Yeah I was there,

I just didn't know your screen-name.

So how does his SI feel? I'm gonna try to meet up with Rodney tonight so we can have a ride in nis and he can drive mine after I just got my header installed.

STRONG!!!
Thats the first word that comes to mind. When he got on the throttle in 2nd at about 3k the car just lept forward and kept pulling right to redline. Yet at part throttle, it is surprisingly relaxed. Not jumpy or eger to have to run fast. I am still in awe
My Si seems so feble in comparison. You'll have a blast this evening.
Later
