Selling my car how much should I ask for? Please Help!
How much should I ask for:
I have a '90 4dr. accord ex with brand new paint job and very clean interior. Brand new brakes, cv axles, Apex N1 exhaust, and '95 JDM H22A put in last February. The car has 250,000 miles on it but has been taken care of very well.
I know with that many miles on the car it's going to put a dent on the price. Thanks for the advice.

ouch, you might wanna consider parting it out if that's the case, your engine alone will get you that much.

Yeah thats what I was thinking. I thought at least 3500-4000. The engine itself only has about 45,000 on it. But yeah the engine and tranny alone cost $2500.
mileage will hurt you unless you can explain that you but an aftermarket motor in it. I just totaled my 91 wagon it also has an H22A in it, and my insurance told me that with 190000 miles on it it would book low. But i told them about the motor and to call the shop that did the install to comfrim it, so they are going to raise the book value of it.
I thought insurance companies would only cover what your car is listed as unless you notify them that it is modified. Then they will insure your vehicle including modifications but charge you an extra premium. For example if you pay the basic insurance costs then they'll insure you for a stock vehicle, excluding any modifications besides those that came with the car when you initially purchased it and recieved your insurance plan.
I don't know, that would make a lot more sense to me. I mean someone could make a dragster Civic with tons of mods on it but then be paying for a basic Civic insurance which would be fairly cheap. Then when you total the car, they pay for all of your mods also when you're paying the insurance rate for a stock consumer car?

2500ish, maybe as much as 3000.....If you find the right buyer you'll get as much as 3500-4000 I think......start high, work your way down unless you're trying your best to sell it fast.

Actually I have discussed the situation with my insurance company. As long as I have proof of doing it and how much it cost it is considered an upgrade and is considered when looking at how much to give me if I were to total the car. No extra premiums are charged unless there are exterior upgrades that I want covered.

Yeah thats the price I was thinking. Maybe 3500 at the least but as much as I just put into it $3500 would be the least.
I don't have any pics right now. My scanner has been broken for awhile. I'm getting a new one in a few weeks so I'll post some pictures up when I get them.
