Hatch center vent assembly... How to remove/reinstall without breaking?
Ok, so my center vents were removed for me by a thief a few years ago
I put my turbo timer, boost controller, and a GReddy Oil pressure meter in the vent housing to fill up the space. A few months ago, I got a vent assembly, and today I decided to try to install it. After removign all the wires except the clock harness, I tried to install the thing. It gets about 1/2way in, and STOPS. Would not move further. So I banged on it a little with my palm. It didn't budge. I tried to remove it. Not happening. It was stuck. I ended up pulling on it too hard, and it snapped on me.
I have found that throwing interior plastics at walls, and afterward jumping up and down on them is quite a stress reliever.
Anyway, now I need another vent assembly... but does anyone know the easiest way to get this thing installed?!
Thanks,
Jody

that makes throwing it out easier, too, as its probably in 100 pieces.

Yeah, it's at least 100 pieces... Broke out the broom and put in in the garbage.. I wasn't too happy with myself and the dash when it decided to fall apart.
the center air vents for me are loose! Sometimes when I shift the whole thing slides out like halfway! Mabye its that mad Honda torque...
Well, removal isn't the problem. I need to put a new set IN the dash.
I'm talking about the center vents with the clock, or for the STD guys, with the clock cover plate.

I had a dx w/the clock cover plate, but clock was already wired for, so screw one in....but
Slips the top of the vent in first, then just push it in. It should easily slide in. Don't push too hard though. Push right next to the left/right controls, on the cover....hope that helps
