What would cause my car to sound like its a Carbed '70 Chevelle...
For some reason after school today when I was driving my car I noticed it sounded different. Over the drive home when at lower rpms and sometimes all the time it makes a gurgle gurgle sounds like its some carb'ed Muscle Car. I thought maybe my exhaust was loose and the sound is coming from the engine area so I tightend all those exhaust bolts but it still makes this weird sound. Anyone had this problem before.
I'm not throwing any codes and the car still drives fine it just sounds shitty.

Is there an easy way to find the leak? My HKS exhaust I put more stock in than the Chikara header so I bet there is something with the header since the sound comes from the front anyway. I'll check into it.
my old civic did this with a blown head gasket, and that was the only sign of the blown head gasket (other than low comp in#4)

Thats a 2 pc., correct? I'd check the gasket between the two halfs.

start up the car and take a cigarette lighter and put the flame around the joints of the exhaust. if theres a leak, the flame will flicker excessively.

I think I found it. It looks like a small crack on the #1 cylinder exit for the header.
Why would I have a fuel leak?
There is what looks like a dent on the header with a ridge. I poked it but the metal is strong so thats not really going to do anything.
However it makes sense because the car was fine in the morning, than sounded funny after school. So when I went to school it must have been real hot and than cracked as it was cooling down when I was inside. So when I got out and started driving it it sounded funny.
I got some JB weld so that should do the job.

Actually nevermind. It wasn't a crack, just a weird looking spot on the header. The leak is coming from the spot where the 2 connect. When I installed it I had to dremel off some of the header cuz it hits the ZC block. So when I did that I could never get the one bolt to screw in all the way. So it must have made it easy for the exhaust to leak out eventually. Its ok. I'll take the header off and I want to paint it with some high temp paint so it doesn't look so shitty. And I can either make my own gasket, or grind me of the header down so it clears right.
