help with my set up on ls motor....
98 b18b1 motor
greddy turbo kit
greddy BLACK BOX
vortec fmu
walbro 255lph intank fuel pump
i think thats all the info i need to give for my question.
okay, i got some rc 310cc injectors that i haven't installed yet. when i install the injectors, do i need to get rid of the fmu or keep it? would it be better to ditch the black box and get a missing link or do they do the same thing pretty much?
let me know what you guys think.
TIA

I dont really see the point to the 310cc injectors. How many lbs you plan on pushing. I hope not too much with fmu setup, but either way i saw your other thread "asking why we need bigger injectors" My suggestion is sell them, it doesn't sound like you need them. Tell us your plans
i thought the injectors would lower my duty cycle and i would be able to run 10psi, in which that what i want to run, with bigger injectors. i'm still using stock injectors right now.
10psi is the max i want to go and i didn't want to do it on stock injectors so i got the 310cc injectors.

I wouldn't run an fmu setup to 10 psi, What ratio disc is in the fmu?
Im running a fmu setup as a temporary until hondata, but don't get impatient and blow your motor. Im running 6.5 psi on an Ls and i can stay content with that until i know that i am tuned and can safely turn up the boost. The only people io thought used 310cc were JRSC guys, if you decide to go hondata, aem and turn up the boost then you go with like 550cc + depending on your goals/setup.

i'm running 8psi with the fmu and have had no problems what so ever. i thought a little bigger injectors for boost was always better than using the stock ones.
i thought you could boost up to 12psi with an fmu.
my fmu is a 10:1 ratio.

No please dont run 12 psi with fmu setup, poeple are running 12 psi on stock ls motors when properly tuned, but fmu is only a band aid fuel set up. My suggestion is sell the 310cc and buy some 550cc and then save for hondata
stock map sensor cant see more than 10 psi anyways. Just keep it safe run 8 psi, be patient and research and your motor will live a longer healthy life.

i'm not going to run 12psi, i just thought that you could run 12psi with an fmu.
i only want to run 10psi with the fmu, 310cc injectors, and the walbro intank.
my turbo is only a td04 which is a very small turbo.

Another reason im staying at 6.5 psi is that im running an intank walbro 255(for hondata) the fmu needs an inline fuel pump to support the high fuel pressure.
Do a search in fmu's and fuel pumps and yopu'll see you need the inline
Get your fuel setup intact before you go turning up the boost. Btw you gonna make it to the meet?

what meet?
i thought by getting an adj fpr, you can adjust the fuel pressure and that by using bigger injectors, your fuel pressure won't be so high. thats just what i think.

no inline, just a walbro intank. </TD></TR></TABLE>
If i were you I would not run that on an intank fuel pump. If you stay at 6psi keep your stock injectors you'll be fine but you need a inline fuel pump with FMU. Need to boost the fuel pressure.

i need to do some more research. i really don't see a problem with just dropping in some 310cc injectors to replace my stock ones and then drive the car like that.
i'm new to this though.

good info.
i see that a lot of people are running the 310cc injectors on their ls motors with no problems and running 10psi with the 10:1 fmu. they are also using an intank fuel pump as well.
i will watch my fuel pressure though. right now i think it high at idle cause of the intank that i have. i was thinking about getting and adj. fuel pressure regulator to lower it some after the injector install.
thanks

one of my buddy's running prelude injectors which i think are 310cc...correct me if i'm wrong but that's what i thought, with fmu and an inline. pushing 10 daily...and ran a 13.18 @ 104mph at the tracks with me last weekend. just make sure you always check your a/f.
