Try switching ECU's. Is the car turning over at al?? No spark??? Still getting fuel?? How about the timing?? Firing order??

That's the problem, we dont hav another ecu to test with. Its definitly getting fuel because we can smell it when we take out a spark plug to test for spark. But thats just it, no spark at all. Also the ECU leaves the check engine light on steady. Does that mean the ECU is toast? Or could it be the distributor? Or maybe both? we just don't know, and its not like these parts are cheap.

Well try checking the cap and rotor. I really think it might be the ECU, try to see if you can get one from the junkyard or from a friend to test it. If it wont even throw a code if you jump it then I think the ECU might be bad

oh yeah, we already bought a new cap and rotor for the distributor. But we thought the actual dizzy my be bad. Although at this point we're leaning towards the ECU.

you guys just went threw the entire troubleshooting tree in helms for this problem. You might want to try unplugging a couple sensors to see if the light goes out. If it does try replacing the sensor first before you go spending a couple hundred bucks on an ecu. just a thought...
