Quick ECU/VAFC Question.
I'm going to go out on a limb and say just the opposite - pulling the fuse should also reset the V-AFC. If you are killing power to the ECU, the power to the V-AFC will also be interrupted, since both are running off of the same power source.

The VAFC has its on ROM to retain its own settings.
If you want real-life proof, I've left the battery unplugged on my car for a couple of days while working on the engine and the VAFC settings have not changed.
