Need Help(AEM CAI)
Went to install the CAI on my itr last night got everything put back no prob. Car started cut right off, started again cut right off. If i gave it gas it would run but as soon as i let off it would stall. You could smell it was running really rich. I thought i checked everything. is there something i just over looked. i also have a DC sport header if that makes a difference. Please help. i can't leave my car at work another night.
I went back through and looked this morning and all the sensors are plugged in and there doesn't look to be any hoses pinched. It did the same thing this morning it starts it just stall as soon as you take your foot off the gas. The only thing i can think i didn't do was disconnect the battery. and as many of these as i have done that has never been a prob. Any other suggestions would be great. I hate knowing my R is in the parking lot not running. Thanks
When I tighted my front upper strut tower bar I did it so tight that I pinched the vaccum hose that was between the bar and the throttle body. That is exactly what hgappened to my car. I could start it and get on the gas but as soon as I let off the idle would go down and just die.

Listen to him. Switch your TPS and MAP sensor plugs and try it. They share the same plug style and it is easy to put the wrong one back on.

Disconnect the part where the intake connects to the throttle body. Start the car up and see if that solves it. If that does not, then it is something OTHER than the intake. Eliminate one by one.
Well I tried everything and no success and i am not leaving it at work again. I am due for the 45,000 mile service so i am just having it towed to the dealership. I have a bad feeling that i am going to get raped on the bill for this one. Luckily i have access to a work vehicle to drive. So that is one less cost. Thanks for all the suggestions.
