b16 with ls tranny?
I'm about to pick up a b16 long block, and I was wondering since a ls tranny would be a good idea to run with the b16a1? My long term goal is to boost it and run 10's in an ef.
The reason I wanna run an LS tranny is because they are cheap and plentiful.
Will the LS gears be too tall?

you have a torqueless 1.6 motor
it doesn't have enough tq to pull through the LS gears fast enough.
your goal is 10's.... no one runs 10's with a stock LS tranny.
save money for a GSR/B16 or better ITR!

Shad Sawyer from Abacus Racing went 10.58@132mph last year with an LS tranny and this year 10.44@144mph

Sure point was someone has gone 10's with an LS tranny, I HATE THEM PERSONALLY and think it is a DOG of a tranny. He went 10.44 this past weekend possibly from a HYBRID tranny one I gave him a spare B16A tranny I had, he messed around with the gears and swapped stuff around, I don;t know the exact changes he made!
