I was just wondering what the s2000 would get on a full tank and how many gallons it takes? answers will help!!!

 

i can probably squeeze out around 250-260 miles with 1-2 bars left on teh gas gauge.

 

According to the Honda website, the s2k gas tank has a 13.2 gallon capacity. So, using Honda's figures of 20 city/ 26 highway mpg's, it should get 264 city miles and 343 highway miles.

 

That's driving like a grandma at posted speed limits.

 

It's too late, and I'm too tired, to do anything more than basic math off a website.

But you are right, if you enjoy driving, you will get nowhere near the CAFE averages.

 

I find that if im going above 80 mph, even crusing in 6th, the gas drops quicker then panties on prom night. Its like theres a hole that opens under the tank when i hit 80, but usually at like 65 i can pull 325 mile tanks without too much vtec action

 

I got 28 mpg average on two different fillups. Just over 300 miles on a 10.5 gallon fill. I guess I can thank my wife's drive to college station and back while on probation

 

I'm still not used to the digital gas gauge. With just one-two bars left I start sketching so I go fill up and it barely puts in 10.5 gallons. Shouldnt that leave me with like 3 more gallons?? I guess its just a psycholgical thing when you only have 1-2 bars left but I feel like I need to fill up asap. The light also turns on a bit early. Maybe its just my car.

 

Nah, it's not just you.. and those last two bars go away pretty quick.

 

I've noticed gas mileage fluxuates whether you drive with the top up or down. With the top down, I have noticed mileage anywhere from 20 to 25MPG, with the top up anywhere from 25 to 30 MPG.... and if you do the speed limit or just a little over it, gas mileage will be better of course...but who does?

 

since we are on the subject (kinda), how many miles and/or gallons do you have left in the s2k when the fuel light comes on? Thanks.

Honda standard is roughly 2 gallons. (Yes, that includes the S2000)

I think it's 3 gallons... I can usually make it another 75-80 miles when my light comes on...

And if he fills up whent he light comes on and puts in 10.5 gallons in a 13.2 tank, that's 2.7 gallons.
