Re: How many miles on a fill up? (preludexl)
i drive 100 miles a day. In CAL gas prices are going up every day....i mean every F-ing day. I gas up every 3 days and each fill up cost be $35. I pay 350 bucks a month on gas...I can afford to pay it but....it just sucks.

to be honest...i wouldnt buy an s2000 to conserve on gas...its a sports car...but i think you can get around 20-24 depending on how you drive, city/highway etc...

yeah exactly its suppose to be the right arm.....but a mond thought it would be funny to change it.
Anyways- im just looking to see what my options are right now. I feel like an old man driving the IS around. I miss the manual shifting...maybe i should just get a beater..
btw how many gals can the S hold?

I usually get ~240 miles and pump in ~11 gallons per fill up with 91.
I tend to shift around 4-5K RPM with somewhat frequent 8-9K RPM runs in 1-2.
I'm sure I can get better if I shifted under VTEC, but what's the point?

If you want to save gas than a s2000 is not the car for you. Your going to wind her up to 9000 every chance you have, I know I do haha. Anyways I have a IS300 also and I think its a gas guzzler itself. Buy yourself a beater to save on gas.

i agree. you buy a sports car to drive it and have fun. you shouldn't own one if your worry about gas and maintenance

Oh trust me i drive all my cars hard and i do all my maintenance myself. I dont trust any shop unless i have a friend that works there. I guess i just miss the turbo integra....The IS just drinks gas like no tomorrow.

Re: How many miles on a fill up? (Gohofastho)
I get almost 300 with a full tank in my S2000.
I get just over 300 in my IS300 e-shift but the tank is about 4 gallons larger.

If you are driving your IS300 "hard" then you are definitely sucking down more gas. Do you do mostly city driving? You might want to try altering your driving habits in order to see if you can improve your fuel efficiency. Also has your IS300 been tuned up lately?

No hating here it was a joke. Keep track? It's not hard to remember who has what.
I do a lot of freeway commuting, which explains my gas mileage per tank. I am meticulous with my standard maintenance so that helps. Bad tires, poor alignment, low air pressure, heavier than stock wheels, dirty air filters, spark plugs, oil, etc. all plays a part in gas mileage.
