Default what's this sound coming from my brakes?

i recently did a five-lug conversion to my 4th gen vtec. at the same time, i changed the front rotors to brembo slotted ones. for now, until my hawk pads come in, i'm still using the old stock pads. when i drive the car there is a constant scraping sound as if my brake pads were too extremely low. there are no clearance issues with the wheels and calipers. do i just need to re-seat the pads? could my pistons need to be rebuilt? what do you guys think it could be? any info will be appreciated. thanks.
