Problems with brakes squeaking? Whats the noise from or for?
Well sig says what car is. Well I've noticed that my brakes squeak very loud and its very annoying and bothersome. A friend of mine said it probaly has to do with dirt in the brakes. Could that be true or fasle? Anyways you tell what the problem is? Sound is squeaking (for the ones that arent to smart, sounds like a little mouse.. haha). Alright I'm out. Lata. Thanks.

Replace your pads. There is a clip on the side of the pad that squeaks when your pads need to be changed. When the pad gets worn down, the clip rubs against the rotor causing the squeaking.

Re: Problems with brakes squeaking? Whats the noise from or for? (all stock)
you don't necessarily need new pads.
The wear indicator is a metal tab that will dig into the rotors and make a really nasty grinding sound. You will know it when you hear it as it is metal grinding on metal to stop the car. Most unpleasant.
The regular squeaking noise that you haer when you apply the brakes is probably just some brake dust or something. Try spraying the pad/rotor with brake parts cleaner. and removing the pad. Place some anti-squeal on the back of the brake pad (not the part that touches the rotor) and put everything back together. That should solve the problem.
