Type R with removed Airbag SRS system and/or after market steering wheel question? How do you get the SRS light off after taking out airbags and SRS controler? Thanks for your help.
After I unplugged the SRS control module my light went off.

You can put a 2 ohm resistor and have the light go out, while still retaining the use of the other SRS bag.

Are you saying that you lost your ABS from unpluging the yellow plug on the back of the instrument cluster?

yeah that's what happened to mine. I unplugged it, then a couple of days later, I noticed that not only did my SRS light go off but the ABS light stopped coming on.
I'm not sure if it's disabled b/c I haven't had the need for it to go on, but I did a quick brake test and my wheels ended locking up...no ABS

Take the SRS bulb out if you still want the ABS light.
It is not that much harder to remove the bulb then to just disconnect the yellow harness.

I should try to remove the yellow plug to see if the ABS stops working, and if it does I could put a switch on it so that I can turn the ABS on and off. I might be to lazy to do this, but someone should try it. Free cool functional Mod!

It should just disable the ABS indicator light. Not ABS itself. But Edwin states otherwise. Kind of odd if you ask me since it's just an indicator light and shouldn't be tied in with anything. Interesting. Good thing I love the ITR ABS and left the plug in.
I didn't feel like dealing with taking a part the cluster or having the ABS warning indicator out so I just deal with the SRS light. You ignore it after awhile.

My cluster doesn't have a bulb for the SRS light. It seems to be a LED.
Edit - Nevermind. Tommy_Guns said it's a bulb after all. Thanks again Tommy.

that's what I thought. i'm gonna check it out in the morning b/c I been dying to get that SRS light off
at first you do ignore it most of the time and black tape doesn't hurt either...but it's really annoying now
