blue box/walbro intank @ 8 psi VS. SMC/450s @ 8 psi
Well, I think technically the blue box is 'written' for 5.5 psi. Granted, I know a guy around here who is running a blue box with an intank 255 pump and he's running 8-10 lbs and he says he isn't having problems with it. Personally, I always think of the blue box as a cheap solution (although I know it works great for a lot of people) so I say go with the 450s and the smc. It gives you more headroom and the ability to tweak and tune a little bit.
What kind of car/ecu are you running this on? Have you ever thought of chipping using ghettodyne (if you're obd0) or uberdata (if you're obd1) I'm running a PM6 ecu, so I'm able to chip, which I like better than both the blue box and the smc/450s.
Good times!

and a wideband of course
you'd never be able to get the blue box perfect - every setup is different.
