Need Help ASAP!! Brake tech!!!
Haha...****. This morning I happened to glance at my front left wheel of my 97 Civic EX and saw this...

So I jammed to Kragen's to get a caliper bolt, and now I cant get the caliper bolt to screw in!! The caliper pin (piece with yellow arrow pointing at it) just rotates when I try to screw the bolt into it. I tried grabbing it with pliers while torquing the bolt, but it goes a little way and it sticks. Is it safe to get real aggressive, or do you think I have the wrong part? My helms manual (page 19-14 for those of you following along) shows a picture of a bolt identical to mine. Little help please!! I want to go to my GF's house!!!

Sometimes you have to rotate that little rubber sleeved piece so it's horizontal or you can't get the bolt in. You may also have stripped the inside of the caliper housing...which would suck. Try harder. You only have to get it in there once

Hehe....
Kragen's gave me the wrong part as usual, so I am just going to shove a dowel in the hole and duct tape it until they open in the morning.
Ghetto rigging at it's finest

This is cake man, that littile rubber thing and that insert that hold the bolt comes off completely, just go to the junk yard and get the bolt and the rubber cover as well it should cost you 5 bucks just replace it, when putting back the bolt the whole thing will eventually start to spin, just get some plyers or open wrench and hold it so U can tighten up the bolt, to hold up that caliper.
how did the carrier come loose in the first place though? my guess would be the head brok off and half the bolt is still in there... thats why you cant thread the new one. happened to my waterpump too, i have to drop the whole engine to drill it out.
