my 00 si maintenance light just turned like an orange color what could that be

 

how many miles? 10,000??? if its maintenance light you can reset it. If its engien light. cant do. To reset Maint. light, on the cluster, the little stick thing that comes out on the right. Push that down and turn your ignition on (dont start car) it should blink once. keep holding it down. wait about 12sec. it should turn off.let go and turn OFF ignition. now start car. should be off. hope this helps

 

just stick your key in the little slot beside the maint. light to reset it...

 

Just ignore it. Its just another way that the dearship uses to get you to come in for "repairs" when theres not a damn thing wrong with the car.

orange = get ready to change the oil
red = time to change the oil

it's like an idiot light................

 

nah that wasnt it i just changed my oil last week

 

The recommended oil change in the '00 Si is 7500miles, when you get near to it, it will turn yellow, when you pass it, it will go red, just use your key to reset it.
