Default This rotor is driving me nuts!!!!

I'm in the process of doing a full tuneup on my 99 Si. I'm replacing the distributor cap and rotor. The cap went off easy, but for the life of me I can't get the damn rotor off! It's held by 1 sideways philips screw. that is tighter than ****. I used a philips screwdriver and rounded the inside of the head, which is uncontrollable.

Is there a trick to getting this POS screw out?

okay here is the trick. this is from years of experience i'm giving away here so listen closely. like he said try an inpact driver. but if that does work. do this. take a decent size screwdriver. what you wanna do it take it and place it on the neck of the rotor. opposite from the rotor screw. take a hammer and break of the rotor head that will then leave you with just the piece thatholds the rotor in. take the heat cover away. after that you will see the bolt that holes the rotor in. use a small vise grip or pliers and to loosen the bolt and that's it.

hard to picture but this have always worked. i have been working on honda and acura for years. trust me on this
