Default The only one single mod I want to do my S2K......

I would like to put some high quality speakers in the doors.

Has anyone here done this yet? If so, which brands do you like.

I've installed numerous full stereos in other cars, but I'm scared to death to touch my S2K... the car is so perfect. I've owned such a nice car.
I'm partial to Infinity ... any suggestions.

Tom

I have an 01 with MB Quarts in the doors, tweeters in the A-pillars. Its a nice setup, but you need an amp to drive them.

I can tell you from experience that replacing the door speakers with aftermarkets will cut your bass, and you most likely will not be happy. Spend some money on an amp and decent speakers and maybe a stealthbox or small sub.

I put Boston Pros in the door powered my an Xtant amp. Although, I ended up redoing the entire trunk because I couldn't get enough bass. Let me know if you would like some pics

I just got a new alpine deck and wired up some boston components. It sounds much better when cruising on the freeway with the top down. Could use some bass but I dont think it is necessary. Overall spent around $500 and am very happy...Much better then stock.

theres a guy who does rear speaker mounts behind your seats that actually make the most difference... and it will probably be less inexpensive than doing the whole amp/sub setup

Lucid Automotive sells it..

Got any friends with an RSX? You can use the sub that is mounted in the middle of the spare tire. This sub fits on an S2K you outta do a search to find out if any RSX owners have this particular sub up for sale...it's an easy out of the way bass addition.
