Oil pump leak because of broken head bolt?!!!!
yeap that the head and some of the shaft that broke of its bellow the cover. ur going to have to drill it out. What happend u over thighten it??
No that will not cause oil to leak. The oil is coming from were exactly? If its coming from the botomo of the lower cover it could be ur cams seals or ur crank seal more likely they did not put in the cams seals properly. When u put them in u have to put them in after the cam caps are on or they will leak from my experience.
I am haven the same problem! I think its my cam seals or my Drive gear case Gasket!...

Replace the bolt and just change the main seal, mine was leaking too, only 1000 miles after rebuild. wasn't seated properly and broke.
They also put sealant around the oil pan gasket..

damn dennis...........what kind of butcher shop re-sealed that oil pan?.........it looks like ***...........
there is no need for THAT much silicone sealer ontop of the oil pan gasket.......if i paid for someone to put the engine togeather i wouldent accept that mess........and to top it off they broke the bolt.........THEY would be fixing it all.....
good luck man.......
is that the R?

How much of that snot do you think is inside the pan? My guess is that the oil pickup will get clogged with that stuff. I'd pull the pan and oil pump off and start over. If you unbolt the oil pump, the broken stub can probably be removed with a stud remover or vice grips. That way you do not risk the drill damaging the block or pump if it goes off center.
Did they charge you to do that to your motor or did they have to pay you to take it? Pros? Wow.
I see red sealer all over the pump too, not good either. Bare minimum they did not torque anything properly. I would also want to see the sealing surfaces and see if they were cleaned properly before all that sealer was slopped on. Did they touch the mains or rod caps? It looks like they don't know what a torque wrench is, so I would re-torque anything they touched and replace critical bolts like mains and rod caps along with head bolts.

I can't believe they used clear silicone on the pan gasket, no wonder it's leaking. Keep that crap for your aquarium. If I ever did something like that dibauchary at work my tool box would be on the curb. Give whoever did that a Honda manual which states what type of sealant to use and where to put it.
I am gonna have nightmares about seeing that now, can't wait to show the guys at work.......
And the broken bolt is just one of the bolts holding down the timing belt cover, not really important, although the cover may rub slightly on the back of the pulley. Pretty easy to fix.

Did'nt see the black of the cover, I guess I just figured they had covered the outside of the pump with yet another sealer. I would fix it when taking everything else apart to seal them properly.
