Anyone here running a 225/50/16 tire? on 16x7 rims. will it fit on are R's. THanks for the help in advance.

 

oh yeah it's a +45 offset also

That's a good bit taller than recommended 215/40/16, 205/45/15, or 215/45/16. It'll fit ok on a stock R, but you'll be sporting a "rally-style" look.

thanks the only reason i ask is because i want to get some RA1 tires and that's the only size close for 16"

 

Any specific reason why you want RA1 tires?

 

i want to try them unless you can recommend some thing for competition tires 16"

205/55/16 Toyo RA-1...which they DO make
205/55/16 Michelin Pilot Sport Cup
205/55/16 Yoko A032R...which I use (205/50/15) and love!

 

RA1 sizes suck. I'm going to go with the 225/50/15 and have to upgrade the final drive again because of it :\
